Hechelei Bielefeld
Part of the historic industrial ensemble of the Ravensberger Spinnerei (Ravensberg Spinning Works), the Hechelei was where heckling was done. It is located in cental Bielefeld at the Ravensberger Park.

Rail
Bielefeld Central station (Hauptbahnhof): ICE trains once or more per hour, IC/EC and regional trains.
From there, continue via local transport or taxi or walk 17 minutes.
Attention: The main railway line to Bielefeld is currently affected by major construction work. Most affected will be long-distance trains (IC/ICE) from the day after the 2024 gala. Please check the latest information on train times and replacement services ahead of your journey.
Local transport:
Tram (partly undergroud): line 3 Dürkopp Tor 6 (walk 4 minutes), line 4 Marktstraße (walk 7 minutes), lines 1, 2 Rathaus (walk 9 minutes).
From Bielefeld Central station: walk 3 minutes across the station square into the underground tram station. From there, line 3 (towards Dürkopp Tor 6) / 4 (towards Stieghorst) leave from the same platform, 3/1 (from the entrance level, walk down the first steps to the right). [It is normally not necessary to take lines 1 (towards Senne) / 2 (towards Sieker) from platform 4 one further level down.]
Bus: lines 21, 22, 29, 169, 369, 350, 351 Volkshochschule (walk 2 minutes).
